VP of Sales

We’re seeking a VP of Sales who has “done it before” – experienced in setting up a sales process in an enterprise software company. The candidate is expected to be well versed in recent enterprise software trends and preferably have a technical background.

Roles & Responsibilities:

  • Set up and implement the sales process of the company
  • Articulate & devise compelling value propositions
  • Accelerate customer adoption
  • Manage relations with partners and distributors to extend reach & drive adoption
  • Manage contract negotiations
  • Develop long-term strategic relationships with key accounts
  • Track and ensure customer satisfaction
  • Expect moderate travel
  • This person is expected to be in the NYC office except when attending meetings
Basic Qualifications:
  • At least 5 years in a direct sales role for an enterprise software company
  • At least 3 years in a partner / channel manager role
  • Experience in building a sales process from scratch in an enterprise software company
  • Technically knowledgeable in the cloud, machine learning, hardware and software space
  • Ability to work independently
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Technical academic degree
Performance Engineer

Concertio is seeking a Performance Engineer who is an expert in operating systems and scripting and possesses the necessary skills to provide pre-sale and post-sale support to clients. Qualified candidates will engage with prospects and customers and assist them in customizing Concertio’s tuning tool to their specific environments.

This individual will serve as a technical authority for application and system tuning.

This is a client-facing position as well as hands-on technical. This position reports to the head of sales.

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Customer Facing: Own the technical sales process and deliverables from opportunity identification through closing and implementation
    • Gather and use customer requirements to develop specific tuning solutions
    • Conduct proof of concepts and demonstrations for products and offerings
    • Assist existing customers and help them succeed with the company’s products
    • Consistently achieve high levels of customer satisfaction
  • R&D responsibilities: Develop and extend the company’s tools to support additional hardware and applications
    • Maintain deep technical knowledge across multiple technology domains and applications
    • Develop expertise in system and application tuning
  • Perform other duties as assigned and required. Duties and responsibilities may change from time to time without notice and include but are not limited to the duties described above

SKILLS/KNOWLEDGE/COMPETENCIES

  • Ability to thrive in sales driven and technical environments
  • Strong communication skills both written and verbal, including the ability to present to both technical and non-technical audiences
  • High Degree of situational awareness and customer service skills
  • A self-starter and fast learner
  • High degree of organization and attention to detail
  • Ability to work well both in teams and independently
  • Ability to develop and execute multiple priorities and approaches to meet internal and external objectives

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS/EXPERIENCE

  • Strong working knowledge in Linux and scripting required
  • 2 or more years of experience providing pre-sales engineering support preferred
  • 3 years of experience in R&D; experience in performance-critical projects preferred
  • Strong knowledge in system architectures (hardware and software) preferred
  • CS/CE/EE degrees preferred

Experience
  • 5+ years of experience in C++ coding in a Linux environment
  • 1+ years of experience in research
  • Preferred: experience with machine learning techniques
Education & Training
  • B.Sc. or higher degree in Engineering, Computer Science, or related discipline

Computer Architect

Concertio is looking for a Computer Architect who is entrepreneurial and has a passion for solving new challenges. This role provides autonomy and requires expertise in modern processors, operating systems and software.
